The tour guide will be pick you up and send to the CBT meet point and , leave from Samkar village and walk up the western slope of Lwekhaw mountain range. When we arrive on the peak of the mountain, you can look back to SamkarLake and view patches of seasonal crops on the mountains. After a rest in the forest we continue to walk down to Lwemoon village, which is located on the eastern foot of Lwekhaw mountain range. Lwemoon village population is formed from both Shan and Pa-O ethnic groups. The villagers can speak both languages and they are still wearing their particular dresses. Then we continue to the east until Namtek village. The trek between Lwemoon and Namtek is flat and it will take about one hour. On this land depending on the season either rice or garlic is grown in paddies. So we will walk across these paddy fields and can see many villagers as they are working in the fields. The villages around the plain make marvelous sceneries. We will have lunch in one of the local houses at Namtek village. It is located between the eastern part of the plain and western foot of the mountain range. The population of Namtek village is Shan and Pa-O as well and they are also still wearing their own costumes all the time. Some of their homes are still built in their traditional style. We can learn about their language, cultural, building style and ways of life and enjoy the view of the landscape in and around the village during lunch. The night stop will be in Htikaung village. The village is located in the valley of the Kaungneinmountain range, which keeps an important memory concerning national and ethnic history. The village is surrounded by hills and mountains. High trees are grown surrounding the village and look like the village’s fence. There is a big water source in the center of the Htikaung village. It is among a village forest and there is a very old monastery nearby the water source. The villagers still are maintaining their own culture and rely on agriculture for their livelihood.

My first organised trip exceeded all expectations. The country and the people are beautiful, welcoming and very friendly. I loved the scenery, so lush and green and interspersed with pagodas everywhere. There are so many interesting aspects to appreciate and learn about Myanmar and this trip sets you on the right track. Great leader, wonderful, varied group of fellow travellers and a very well organised trip.

Even though it was low season and the monsoon, we had many sites to ourselves. We didn't have to face hordes of other tourists while enjoying the major sites such as Bagan with its multitude of temples, which was amazing and Inle Lake was myanmar's Venice. Many more tourists should visit Myanmar because boycotts in the end hurt mostly ordinary men and women , families and children who rely on tourist trade. See the astounding sites of Myanmar before it becomes overrun with tourists.

Our group consisted of 5 friends. We didn't know anyone in Myanmar and were recommended this Tour Company by my in-laws. We were very happy with their prompt email response to our requests, the flexibility in arranging the fine details of our Tour and their organization. The Guides were superb, the Tours informative and flexible (we even golfed 9 holes), the Hotels very very nice and the flights and other transportation, on time and comfortable.

We loved it! The guides were fabulous, the tour was very enjoyable and learning the history of Myanmar and the cities we visited was great. Every city was different, which made for a very interesting tour. We were well taken care of from the moment we landed in Yangon. Getting checked into all our flights and being picked up at the airports was perfect.
