It was super nice experience to up to the Fansipan mountain in a sunny day. You are better go early in the morning or a bit late in noon time to avoid the crowd. We took Muong Hoa train to the cable station and went up by cable car. Took 600 steps to go up to the top. Recommended to take steps instead of train then you can see break-taking view and visit pagoda. Bring warm clothes as its quite windy and cold in the mountain. Must go place if you travel to Sapa

Don't miss visiting Fansipan Mountain if you visit Sapa. The cable car while scary is really awesome. 20 minutes ride and it's thrill and fun. The Monday was cold and misty we had to buy all the winter clothing after reaching the mountain. Good thing is every single winter gear is available. The Buddha statue and the peak are memorable !

when is the good time to trek to Fansipan?
Answered by admin | 06 Jun 2019
Hi, the best time to travel would be in the dry season November to April. The temperature then is usually milder also, about 17 -22 degrees. During the Monsoon season the heavy rain will increase the volume and may prevent access to the Fansipan Trek. It is easy to access the trail down to the falls and back. It is not hard to find. You can get a bike or car to access part of the way, or cable car, or trek on foot for the whole way down and back. Be aware there are many, many steps. However, the path winds down through a village so if time allows you can stop and rest, or take coffee or a snack. You need to be reasonably fit to undertake, but it is very worthwhile. Going up the other side is less strenuous with more paths and a cross bridge.
